I can't believe I skipped out on ONE full month of blogging! Jeeezz.. now that my hiatus is over, first things first: Happy Birthday to Mr. Burns! (my dad.. he walks like Mr Burns.. with his hands dangling stiffly in front of him and his fingers limply hanging... you get the picture!)

Many things have taken place over the last little while. Sad thing is, I have neglected the friendships as much as I have blogging. And that's the sad part. Blogging isn't a big deal. But keeping the friendships alive -- that's where it counts!

Even though I'm at work.. My building is haunted!! I don't even know how to describe this, hell, I'm even scared to type this incase the ghost is here!! This is what happened. There have been many times that I have been in my warehouse alone. I would be working away, and all of a sudden I'd here these noises! These were not normal building noises... I've been working in warehouses for a loooooooong time to know what they sound like, but this was as if someone was making the rattling noise. As if they were trying to scare me out of the building. I didn't think too much of it, and just thought I had an over-active imagination.
The only problem is, this morning when I arrived here there were lights on in the main office hallway. I thought someone had just left them on. So as soon as those people that had left last night arrived, I asked them if they had left the light on. And since both of these people left together, they swear that all the lights were shut off! It gets worse. They both had different experiences. Well, the first person, Anna, she had the same warehouse experience as I did. But Henry - oh jeez! These are Henry's account of the ghost:
1) He had this huge stereo next to his desk. Every night he would turn it off and unplug the radio. Many people see him do this every night. The next morning when he got there, not only was the radio plugged in, but it was on FULL BLAST! You could hear the music from outside the building! No one had a key to come in, nor did anyone leave after him. Freaky.

2) He was working late in the warehouse one day alone. At this point the warehouse was empty. As he was working all the warehouse lights shut off on him! Not just shut off as in the lights blew, but he heard a click at the fuse box as if someone just snapped it off. He thought if the circuit overloaded then that's ok. So he started walking towards the fuse box. It was dark, but there was still some dusk light coming into the building, so it wasn't that bad. Suddenly he said "I felt this coldd breeze just pass through me!! Like a dark shadow that just blew past me!" He ran outside the building, and he never told anyone of this story cause he didn't want to admit he was scared.

Now I'm getting scared. Not because its Halloween, but because I'm here alone on many occasions.

Speaking of scary things ... on to the next topic:

Each day that goes by I can see the stress in my parents eyes. They look at me with anxiety. Look at me with distrust - as if I'm not telling them something. They ask me a million and one questions about my life. They look at my idiotic hair cut and shudder. I could relieve them of ALL their worldly stress if I talk to them about one subject - marriage.

I will have to continue this later... Gotta get back to work - the angry man is coming (dad/boss)

Riddle Me This!?

I just love Batman. Joker was alright as a nemesis... but the one who really made me question the mind of a criminal genius?! The Riddler. I think he's SICK! I want to be like him. Everything he does, he makes it into one huge game! Not only that, you have to think of each moves 10 steps in advance to make sure its going to fit the puzzle! Now thats GenEass!
I suppose you could relate him to a 'choose your own adventure' type of book. He must have contingency plans no matter what he does. Imagine if he was a business man. Hell, make it even simpler. If he was a sales person for my company... he'd have an answer for anyone.. anything! Thats my goal in life. To have a contingency plan - always. I don't believe anyone who says that their life is over because of my cat ran away or they got arrested for stealing sunglasses from shoppers drugmart. Seit happens. But life moves on.
What young entrepreneur drives a firebird and dreams to be one of three things....
1. A bollywood star
2. A rock star
3. A comedian

He's none other than....Apu Nahasapemapatalan... Not only is he a comedian, he's also an Indian bollywood star in a hollywood tv series who happens to be in a band called .. I don't remember the name, but the name of the track was: "baby on board"! And he drives a red trans am. How sick is that!

Imagine the combination of Apu and Riddler?? SICK!
Yes.. I have nothing to do. It was almost like Canadian Idol, but instead of just singing, it was a multi-talent show? Anyway, I tried calling them many times to find out all the details, but guess what! "This number is not assigned" What bloody baskets! Its ok though, its my own effort that mattered most (ie. the want/drive to go ahead and register... even though I lost out on $50 big ones!)

Another scam I was thinking about were parents. Not mine per se, but my cousin who had come from Vancouver on a business trip, he got SCAMMED!
In traditional societies, the kids would give all their earnings to the parents - obviously because parents were revered as God, and whatever they did, was for the betterment of the children. Sounds right, huh? It is right, for majority of families. But not this one. The family took all their kids for a ride, took all their money, took the house that was in the son's name, kicked them out on the street at night in their PJ's, and were left to survive on their own. They were in the same position as an immigrant from India with nothing in his pocket - attempting their success at life.
I felt super bad when I heard the stories. Apparently my parents knew all about it. This was my first time hearing it. I just felt so helpless. You should've seen his face when he told us about how his parents never even came to see his first born, or second born.. and not even the third born.
Life can be unexpected. But one thing is forsure - you come with nothing, you leave with nothing.
Everything in life is pure scams. Everyone out to get something from another.

Too bad there's isn't Anti-Scam software LOL.

Just Write!
Can't believe its been this long!!
Jeezuz...
Not that I can blog today, but I will soon.

Life comin' back on track...

=D

What If God Was.... I am in the midst of something…………

God: What are you busy at? Ants are busy too.
MBA: Don't know. But I can’t find free time. Life has become hectic. It's rush hour all the time.

God: Sure. Activity gets you Busy. But Productivity gets you Results. Activity Consumes time. Productivity Frees it.

MBA: I understand. But I still can't figure it out. By the way, I was not expecting YOU to buzz me on instant messaging chat.
God: Well I wanted to resolve your fight for time, by giving you some clarity. In this NET Era, I wanted to reach you through the medium you are comfortable with.

MBA: Tell me, why has life become complicated now?
God: Stop analyzing life. Just live it. Analysis is what makes it complicated.

MBA: Why are we then constantly unhappy?
God: Your Today is the Tomorrow that you worried about Yesterday. You are worrying because you are analyzing. Worrying has become your habit. That's why you are not happy.

MBA: But how can we not worry when there is so much uncertainty?
God: Uncertainty is inevitable, but worrying is optional.

MBA: But then, there is so much pain due to uncertainty.
God: Pain is inevitable, but suffering is optional.

MBA: If suffering is optional, why do good people always suffer?
God: Diamond cannot be polished without friction. Gold cannot be purified without fire. Good people go through trials, but don't suffer. With that experience their life becomes better not bitter.

MBA: You mean to say such experience is useful?
God: Yes. In every terms, Experience is a hard teacher. It gives the test first and based on results the lessons afterwards.

MBA: But still, why such tests? Why can’t we be free from problems?
God: Problems are Purposeful Roadblocks Offering Beneficial Lessons (to) Enhance Mental Strength. Inner strength comes from struggle and endurance, not when you are free from problems.

MBA: Frankly in the midst of so many problems, we don't know where we are heading...
God: If you look outside you will not know where you are heading. Look inside. Looking outside, you dream. Looking inside, you awaken. Eyes provide sight. Heart provides insight.

MBA: Sometimes not succeeding fast seems to hurt more than moving in the right direction. What should I do?
God: Success is a measure as decided by others... Satisfaction is a measure as decided by you. Knowing the road ahead is more satisfying than knowing you rode ahead. You work with the compass. Let others work with the clock.

MBA: In tough times, how do you stay motivated?
God: Always look at how far you have come rather than how far you have to go. Always count your blessing, not what you are missing.

MBA: What surprises you about people?
God: When they suffer they ask, "Why me?" When they prosper, they never ask "Why me". Everyone wishes to have truth on his or her side, but few want to be on the side of the truth.

MBA: Sometimes I ask, who am I, why am I here. I can't get the answer.
God: Seek not to find who you are, but to determine who you want to be. Stop looking for a purpose as to why you are here. Create it. Life is not a process of discovery but a process of creation.

MBA: How can I get the best out of life?
God: Face your past without regret. Handle your present with confidence. Prepare for the future without fear.

MBA: One last question. Sometimes I feel my prayers are not answered.
God: There are no unanswered prayers.. At times the answer is NO.

MBA: Thank you for this wonderful chat. It was very inspirational.
God: Keep the faith and Drop the fear. Don't Believe your doubts and Doubt your beliefs. Life is a mystery to solve, not a problem to resolve. Life is wonderful if you know how to live.
"Life is what we make it, always has been, always will be."

Let By Gone Be BYE Gones...

I figure there's no point to keep a hold onto the past, unless you're doing a science experiment, then do keep all records =P Whatever's going to happen will happen. I just want to coalesce with others in a society - particularly mine. I don't want anyone, and I really mean anyone, to feel any amount of discomfort. Whats the point? In the end, we're all going to forget about stupid little tid bits and move on.

This song just sums up everything I'm thinking, especially the last verse:

To everything turn turn turn..
There is a season turn turn turn...
And a time for every purpose, under Heaven

A time to be born,
A time to die,
A time to plant,
A time to reap.
A time to kill,
A time to heal,
A time to laugh,
A time to weep.

To everything turn turn turn..
There is a season turn turn turn...
And a time for every purpose, under Heaven

A time to build up,
A time to break down,
A time to dance,
A time to mourn,
A time to cast away stones,
A time to gather stones together.

To everything turn turn turn..
There is a season turn turn turn...
And a time for every purpose, under Heaven

A time of love,
A time of hate,
A time of war,
A time of peace,
A time you may embrace,
A time to refrain from embracing.

To everything turn turn turn..
There is a season turn turn turn...
And a time for every purpose, under Heaven

A time to gain,
A time to lose,
A time to rend,
A time to sew,
A time to love,
A time to hate,
A time for peace,
I swear it's not too late.
- Turn Turn Turn, By: Byrds

Listen to it if you have it, or download it. Its an oldie, but a goodie! That's all I can think about as I see my youthful father aging. I don't know much about genetics, but I do know many quotes! ie. Like Father Like Son! Hahaha..
So I have a receding hair line. The only problem is this: I have an egg head (yes nuts, I admit it) Baldness may not necessarily suit me well. Even though I've had my head shaved at one point or another, its not the same as the gradual loss of hair (insert yuck face here). Pops tells me he started loosing his hair in his late 20's. He's not totally bald, just on his cranium. I'm 25. Don't know how many years I have left with this coat of fur on me head.
Here's the main question: Should I shave it off now, and keep on shaving it until there is nothing left to shave?? Would that look ok?? Or is this a major faux pas!?
Let me know =D

Facts of life
What do you do when you have no one to turn to because you don't want anyone to make a judgment call? What if something you did was soo wrong, every time the situation plays in your head you think of different endings of things that you had ought to had done. I am not alone. I'm sure there are many others that have at least one deep dark secret. Not that I'm privy to share with you(s), it's just something I wish never happened.

I suppose the worst part of all the past is re-living them. When you're in a situation, be it a girlfriend, a best friend, whatever, and want to share everything with them - everything is everything!
What are they going to think? What are they going to feel? Will they forgive you? Or will they just pick up and leave? No matter what happens, one things for sure. Things will never be the same. There's always that one piece inside you/other person you share with that's been corrupted (almost like a file in a computer). Even though it remains quarantined, you know its there. We must find a way to remove that file. I personally want to keep "my computer".

Even though people have their dark moments, they have to remember that whatever doesn't kill them, makes them stronger!
Besides, we're all human. We all make mistakes - which are lessons to be learned. As a child puts his hand over an open flame and gets burned, he learns NOT to do that again. Its the same thing for all mistakes we make in life. Just learn from them.

Never Never Never Give Up. - No Fear.

Where Art Thou Summer?
The official mark of summer has passed. June 21st, 2004. You’d think that we’d be in a quasi-tropical climate by now, but no! We still have to check in with the weather man to see if we can go out without a jacket. I can’t wait for the days when the nights will be so humid it makes going to bed a mission! (I don’t care ‘cause I dwell under sea level ie. Basement) The best part of the summer is probably the evening rendezvous, which can be quite interesting now that staying in the car is not the only option ;). *pause and let your imagination carry you* I’ll leave you with that thought.

There’s this store on Queen St. W. called National Sound. It’s a small audio/video store with all reputable brand names. They also take trade-in’s on stereo receivers for a fair present value that you can put towards a new receiver! That’s exactly what I’m going to do! If anyone wants to come with me, let me know. They’re open till 6pm. So we’ll have to leave straight after work. I should find out their weekend hours, which would obviously be much easier!

Mia has been quite sick for the past couple of days, or as she puts it: under the weather. She only took one day off from work, when she should’ve stayed home until she fully recovered! However, I have to commend her on her work ethic. She knew it was month end at her workplace, and her superior had already made the bulletin that all employees would have to still till 8pm for this entire week. Wanting to put her share into the grueling month end turmoil, she dragged herself out of bed, attempted to clear her sinus (which are still not cleared), and plopped her sickly self in her little go-kart and putt-putted to work! Although Mint-a-maniac, panther-o, and I had told Mia not to go for various reasons (ie. Getting her other colleagues sick, stay home for consecutive days so they [company] knows you’re not faking it, etc) She’s a Japanese at heart. Converting her work affiliates to family members of all sexual orientation (she has a BUNCH of ‘hay’ men at her workplace..LOL) Thank God it’s the weekend now, she can finally get proper rest! I’ll see to it that she does.

FYI, Mia has thee most commercialized sneeze I’ve EVER heard… she literally says “aachooo!” when she sneezes! Hahahahah..

GYMA BROTHERS UNITE! We need this! Summer Time! Nudiness! Okthen.

Cut and Paste =D
Last weekend was a perfect summer weekend! Friday night, Mia had some family visiting from England and India, so Mia, her brother, and the Kots took them out to see a little T.O. - unfortunately we didn't leave the Doshi residence until 11:45pm, so we stayed close to home and went (back) to Brix...unfortunately the band on Friday was quite off-tune (A is A was not in the spotlight), and the crowd was (old) and sparse. Needless to say, that aside from the boys and I falling asleep at the bar, it was a good time. We even got a bit of movie-style-attention from the Ministry po-po, but that's another story. (Dumb Ministry officer was prejudice I tell you!)
Saturday afternoon I went over to Mia's (with the T-tops off) and we hung outside on the front porch (in the gorgeous summer weather)...then headed to the beaches to meet Mia's U-DUBB crew (including the sensational Booty and Booty Jr.) @ the beaches. We didn't intend to play volleyball, but ended up playing for a bit in the warm sand...it was gorgeous (and next time I wanna take our rollerblades! - and also a change of clothing!) The ride home (in the batmobile) was great...when the weather is warm, the fresh air makes you wanna stay outside forever. We were pretty wiped out (Mia's tummy was a little owie from the night before) so we ended up hanging out in front of the tele (and filling the house with sand, followed by cleaning the sandy mess), ordering pizza, harrasing (or as Mia puts it: threatening..) the pizza guy for a free dvd, getting the free dvd, and watching teenage mutant ninja turtles...yes, good times!

Sunday was Toral's bridal shower that Mia went to...(her wedding countdown has begun) She says it was quite the Hawaiian treat (lots of food, including the chocolate cake that I baked...:) Mia was amused by the creativity that people have when planning Bridal Shower games...but that'll be a story she'll have to share with you in person :)

The above blog was courtousy of Mia's Blog for this date =D

Love Thy Neighbour?
Over the past month now, my next door neighbour has been wearing my patience down to my last threads.
I suppose it all started back in September 1986 when we first moved into our current residence in Markham. Back then, Markham was not developed. We had one way traffic lanes, no street lights, and farm land stretching beyond the horizon! We were pilgrims you could say - pioneers even. So why couldn't our next door neighbour, who has been our next door neighbour from nearly the beginning (there was one previous home owner prior his settlement), be happy and content?? I'll tell you why.
My dad, who at the time (and still does), thinks he's always right. He decided to build a fence in the backyard. That was a great idea - BUT, he should've asked the neighbour for permission. (According to town by-laws, you have to take permission for any home extension/structures). My neighbour, being the dick that he is, didn't like the fence that my dad had selected (the standard one at the time: wooden straight planks) and said he would've choose something different. Thus, he didn't pay for any of the fencing. FINE. That was a LOOONG time ago.
Two years back, my father had decided to renovate the basement and add a basement entrance in the side alleyway that we shared with the pesky neighbour. Not only did we dig out an entrance, we also erected a storm shed over the stairs - almost like an extension to the house. (Mind you, the contractor did not obtain a building permit as we thought he did.) Can you see where this is going?
I think the neighbour's just jealous.
Just recently the neighbour decided that he didn't like us walking on 5 feet of his property. (In order to go in my backyard, I have to travel around the storm shed, literally walk 6 steps on his side of the alleyway and back to my side.) Thus he built a fence right on the "property line". (I'm not even sure if he got a survey done. If he hasn't, I can make him tear down his fence!) Obviously by building his fence, it makes it almost impossible to get to our backyard without walking on his side - almost! My dad did the next best thing. He called his contractor friends, and built what he calls a 'gangway' (a drawbridge structure that stretches from the door way of the storm shed entrance, covering the stairway depth, across to the 8" thick concrete foundation - where we cut open another door making adventures to the backyard possible! Mind you, we had to make a few adjustments, which you'll be able to see once you come over! =D)
However, it get's better. The neighbour, now even more outraged that we found a way around his fence, called the Town of Markham to report a side entrance without a permit. This basically means that if we don't have a permit for this side entrance, we may have to tear it town, and/or pay $25,000.00 fine.
I immediately went to the Town of Markham to see what I could do to obtain a permit (even though the structure is already up) The towns' people where quite helpful! They really felt sorry for my case (say awwwww now..) and showed one option that I had which has a 90% success rate. So why not! The option stipulates that I must post a sign on my house which states the persons at the subject cite is applying for minor variance, and thus those that are 60m radius from my residence will be invited to come to a town meeting where they can object to the side entrance. Since the neighbour has his fence up now, he has no grounds to make his claim!! Yay me!
I'll let you know how it turns out. The meeting is going to be held on July 14th.
And yes, I want to punch my neighbour is his fat ugly face. (that feels good just saying it!)
Hope you love thy neighbour.

Happy Days!
I don't even know where to start! The entire weekend was funfilled with music, laughter, and awesome friends! First things first: Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. JP and Bindi Tatla!! Both ceremonies [Sikh and Hindu] went smooth, and were quite entertaining and informative (especially the Hindu priest that kept cracking jokes "sweet tongue" LOL)
In the morning the boys commenced the 'follow the leader' drive-a-thon with a stretch Expedition Limo leading the way, followed by a stretch caddy limo, my van.. etc etc..
The Doshi clan were awaiting the Tatla entourage standing with "grace and poise" as per the instruction of the logistics representative - Mint-a-maniac (Gaurav)
The ceremony was completed fairly quickly upon completion of 4 laps around the Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
To Hindu ceremony: Location - Miller Lash House. UTSC!
Everyone finally got a chance to view UTSC, who now know.. its worth the drive to 'acton' LOL.. Back to the story.
JP's family came in dancing and clapping while the dholis were distracting the PK soccer players and keeping the dancers jamming. Salim on the roof of the Durango, and a stretch caddy limo to follow, the crowd was intensely awaiting to see a white glove stick out from the deep 99% tinted windows!
Since the weather was great, it was perfect for the outdoor ceremony and feast! Although allergies were acting up many people, it was well worth watching JP making promises of things he didn't know what he was promising too... make sense?? LOL.
Over all, it was great.. I'll have to write a separate blog for the reception.. Cause I have to chill with parents - Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad.. .
Happy Birthday Mom, Gaurav, and Amy (JP's family from Vancouver!)

Unnecessary
What the hell is up with people who love to document things all for the wrong reasons?! I don't even know if the intent is wrong, but common sense dictates that one should not take pictures that can be a feature story on "hardcopy". Who are you trying to kid? No one takes these pictures lightly. Notice how the photographer and companions NEVER seem to be in any pictures that are in the 'to be rated' category.
Infact, if they [those that had been 'frozen in time'] had the chance to tell the photographer and their company to butt out, I'm sure they would. But they wont. They're a bunch of nice people, and no one wants to be the 'bitch/bastard'. Not to worry, they will be phased out of the core. Truth be known, there have been one TOO many times where certain events have come and gone, and nothing was left unturned. I mean, they flash the entire scene, or they can reiterate them for verbatim and broadcast it across the grape vine. Is that really necessary?! No need for noise filter, no unwarranted audience, no noise complaints, and best of all… the acoustics behind one of those factory’s receiving docks is damn impressive! Sooner than later we’re (Bunny and I) are going to call the masses for a dhol competition/bhangra fest. Almost like a rave party with strict invites and secret locations… but no dropping ‘e’. Just grab a cup of coffee (or ice cap. if we’re well into the summer by the time this happens) and just enjoy the tunes.

Ok, not sure if I mentioned it, but I switched phone carriers. Roger has not treated me well, nor has the service been all that great in terms or reception. Thus the switch has been made after 8 years of loyalty to Telus Mobility. Particularly the Mike service! All I have to do now is find others who have the DC (direct connect) feature and become their friends! lol. So for those of you who don’t know the number yet.. its.. actually, call my old cell till June 30th to find out the new number.

Two days left till JP and Bindi’s wedding!! So much to do! So little time. Bunny and I have a surprise for the lovely couple, and everyone else for that matter. Its just a matter of pulling it off and getting the practice time in! We’ll see how it pans out. I was completely enraptured by the show Blink 182 put on at the Molson Ampatheatre! I'm not done yet.. i'll have to continue later.
L8A
I'm back..
My first time seeing a live mosh pit in action. Bumping sweaty bodies, crazy hair flying in all direction, fluids (body or alcohol) being sprayed in all direction, and the most important – a sea of people floating on top of each other. No matter how many times the security guards kept slamming those that were “surfing” onto the ground, it still didn’t stop the masses from “moshing”
Sheetal and I were four rows away from the mosh pit, which was right in front of the stage! Not that we had the tickets to be sitting there, we just snuck past the security guards during the frenzy before the curtain went up. So we made it to these exclusive seats. So whats the problem? I couldn’t leave to go to the bathroom!! We had to drink our beers quickly since we weren’t allowed any alcohol in the actual seated auditorium. That’s besides the point. We didn’t have any way of re-entering to this excluse area, so I had to be elusive yet creative. I found a 24oz empty beer cup. I had to go really bad. Use your imagination. I did it!! But this weekend, I was thanking God over and over for blessing me with such great friends. Friends who not only will sit and talk, have a few beers, and just hang out... I'm talking about friends that lend a hand when you need help.
The past four days I've been doing my year end inventory at my warehouse. It can take anywhere from three FULL days (12 hours a day) to one and a half weeks. (From previous experience) In the past four days, I've knocked on a few friends' door on the very last minute (I'm talking about 2 minute notice) and they've gotten themselves out of bed, and made their way over on a Saturday and Sunday. Even if some people couldn't make it... their efforts of making the call to tell me they couldn't make it for whatever reason.. I still know that I can count on them. I just want to acknowledge these people right now (in no particular order): (pictures in the link may not be accurate.. LOL)
Jateen Bulsara - my cousin who always pulls through.
Vrinda Parujanwala - I don't think she had much choice.. lol
Amisha Doshi - refer to line above.. but Mia wasn't feeling well, and still made it out.. Summer of 2003 - Anthem song: Days Go By.

The weather today was fantastic! Knowing Canadian climate, its probably just a tease! Watch tomorrow become all rainy, windy, and cold with overcast skies and an unstable barometer. (Whatever the hell that means!)

Last night I finally got the chance to celebrate Mia's (Mia aka. Jasmine, herein will be referred to as MIA [not mistaking it for Missing In Action] pure bedmas! LOL) first job, post-graduation! I tried to surprise her, but she found out before we got to our destination. Here's the low down: I had called her cousin up the day before to knock three birds with one stone: 1) Get together with Mia's cousin (and husband) since they've wanted to have a shin-dig for the four of us. 2) Watch the Leafs game. 3) Throw Mia a mini surprise...
I picked up Mia from her house. Once she had gotten into the car, I made her blindfold herself as she was not to know where we were going. Even though she kept making out which directions as I drove, she was mentally noting which way we were heading via each turn of the wheel. I took a LONG cut to make her disoriented. After parking the car and walking her toward the main entrance of the condo, (at this point people driving by were looking with fear... why? Cause they probably thought I was kidnapping her with a blindfold on! Not to mention the way in which I was holding her elbow, made it look like I had a pistol to her waist. This is strictly from on coming traffic.) Mia could smell the distinctness of her cousins condo. She knew where she was. Once we had gotten upstairs, she was surprised with many flashes, and a lot of hugs! Pizza and Ice Cream Cake!! mmmmm!! Chocolate Mousse Royale (CMR)from Baskin Robbins!! (I missed the Free Scoop!!! Ah well, not worth the wait!)
Great Night.
Alright.
I'm outtie.

Good Work IS Hard To Find!!

What is up with the unskilled labour force!? I know that taking a position of shipper/receiver is not the most glamorous of positions to work in, but with no skill in your arsenal, beggars can’t be choosers!! Or can they? Apparently they can. In the last week and a bit, I’ve been training and re-training poondays to work in the shipping. They stay for duration of half of a day to two full days, only to call it quits by means of not showing up. This is SUPER frustrating!!
I’m back to writing this blog. Two and a half hours have passed since I’ve started writing. A truck came in with 6 skids, then I had to load the van, then I had to take inventory of a certain product, print a price list for a new restaurant, and finally say goodbye to the new PK. Fawker. Why does my dad hire from a PK agency? They’re completely unreliable. The PK that came today said “very too complex. Too much product, not understand. I think so I go home now.” Ooooookkaaaayyy!! He quit in the first 15 minutes! That’s the newest record so far!
Anyone know any gujarati uncles that have come recently from India that are seeking employment right now? I didn’t think so. I feel lousy not going. But alas, I have no choice. Actually I do have a choice, but I'm just lazy! For example, yesterday I was up at 9:30am and left for work at 10am. I was there till about 6pm. After coming home, showering, eating and taking a 20 minute nap, I was up and ready to celebrate Abarada's 25th Birthday! (As you can see, simply no time for the gym yesterday)
I made my way to Jasmine's place. I was a bit cranky... its such a tease to sleep for less than an hour only to wake up again (I thought I had more time to sleep.. but plans got switched and time was shortened)
Anyway, I made it to Jasmine's... she had thrown a bridal shower for her cousin Bindeshwar. I suppose it turned out well, not that I know what makes a successful bridal shower?! What do you ladies do anyway? Why don't men have groomly showers? I'll have to invent it and make sure everyone adpots this neo-tradition. It will consist of discussing men's fashion in the undergrament department, various types of beers, and which chick on baywatch is the hottest, and if you had a chance to ... ummm.. nevermind. LOL. I think I'll have to plan a groomly shower quickly for Bindeshwars partnership for life. i.e. Tatlalalalala.
Back to the story.. Jangala, Doshikaur, and Doshiwala were all getting ready. After intensive makeup and hair straightening, (not me, them! incase you were wondering lol) we were finally on our way downtown to 373 Front Street. Abarda had rented out a condo for the evening. There were people that I haven't seen from 'back in the day', and fresh faces that I had a chance to meet and greet. Great dynamics of friends. Everyone was super friendly and ready to party! Fast forwarding to later in the evening, we went to Aquadesiac (spelling?!) a lounge on the Queens Quay. It was a decent place.. packed with indian people! Not that I mind.. but it just seems like everytime there's a hot spot to check out, it always gets infiltrated by the brown crowd, and as Jasmine puts it, "the Club Tanks." We got a chance to meet Jangala's boyfrined Gurdharry... seems like a nice fellow. =)
Today was a super lazy day.. got up at 2:45pm! Went to work, and just got home. I have to quickly get ready and take off to catch the leafs game that starts in 24 minutes!
Hope everyone else had a great weekend too!
PS. I have to prioritize me time.. i didn't even get a chance to talk about what I really wanted to talk about...hahahaha.. I get side tracked. I was going to say how I should budget my time so I can complete the important tasks of my day. ie. gym, work, eat, sleep.. etc. But ah well, so much for prioritizing! hahahah. (But I still manage to get things done!! yeah!!)
Peash.

Keep this one?

I know I've changed the look of my blog page a hundred times so far... Ever since PK (poonday keats) fell from the third story-shelf in my warehouse, things have not been the same. The work load that he actually goes through it quite tremendous. Then again, I'm now doing his job and mine. So I suppose I feel a bit more worn out that he would. But still, he does a lot of work. Good Poondays are hard to find ;) hahaha. Actually, we have a poonday agency that we call to find more PK's to join the labour force. We have hired PK3 and PK4 (the PK that mangled his foot, he was known as PK2. There was one before him, his name was Sai... For those of you who know him.. hahah.. "And the DEVIL!!!") That’s what I’ve learned so far from The Alchemist. It honestly makes me think of what my Personal Legend is. The author tells us that our universal calling, the one thing that we were meant to do on this earth, we knew and followed as we were little children, but as we grew older, we were brainwashed into thinking that our dream would be impossible for whatever reason: school, family, other responsibility.
Last night I was talking to Jasmine on the phone. I wasn’t talking much. I was just thinking. (she thought I fell asleep! lol) Thinking, under all the layers of ‘negative’ enforcement, somewhere deep within my being, lays my dream of all dreams. I have a new quest: To realize that dream. Somehow, someway, I’ll find it. I only know this much, whatever it is, it’s meant for me to shine!
On top of which, I’ve been having many of life’s’ itch. You know, those things you want to do before it’s too late!? Ok, let me explain. There are so many things that I have yet to do but don’t know if I’ll be able to do them. Things like living out on my own – a true bachelor’s pad (attached or not ;) ). Selling my car, be rid of all expenses in my life, and simplify to a different lifestyle where I am on my own. Doing my own thing. Independent.
Why is it accepted in ‘white’ culture for kids to move out on their own? I know it wasn’t always like it is now in ‘brown’ culture. Our parents left the old country on their own. Hell, they moved from country to country! Why can’t they understand that we too, want to taste that freedom!? (and I'm just talking of moving down the street! lol)
I guess that’s where the rest of my itches come into play. Taking off and going backpacking across the European landscape. Purchasing a plane ticket to Egypt to see the pyramids! Leave everything behind and re-locate to China or Japan and live in a totally different world! Let’s see if my fortunes faded.
I have to make a few changes to my life, but I’ll definitely keep the blog going.

Looong Weekends!

A long weekend it was! Especially when so many things are going on, you can’t help but feel like the three days we had off felt more like three weeks! Let’s recap quickly, shall we?
Thursday:
After work ended, my buddy Vickars and I went bike shopping! We have decided to find a 2003 GSX-R 600, not used, new. I’m more keen on the blue coloured bike… they just look hott! Not to mention I already have a blue biker ensemble to sport. We need more persons to join our quest in the hunt for the summer bike, so we can exercise buying power with larger than normal volume! This means you ChrisTin! (don’t worry about Natso, I’ll handle her…muhahahahaha - evil laugh). If anyone else wants to ride this summer, go get your m2 fast! More the merrier! Not to mention there’s safety in numbers… I remember being off the highway at some store, not too far away, I could still see the highway overpass. I could barely hear the cars passing by. Suddenly what sounded like killer bee’s turned out to be 8-10 bikers zipping across the highway… there was no way you could miss them! Just awesome! We Need This. I felt like a kid in a candy store!! After checking the bikes out, we hit the gym. In the evening I met up with Jasmine and her bro to watch The Apprentice! Kick ass show!
Friday:
I was supposed to go to a wedding ceremony out in Halton region in the early morning, but I couldn’t make it. (Damn snooze button didn’t work!) So I ended up going up to Waterloo to drop off J-Bro. (kinda like J-Lo with a desi flair!) The travel time felt like a ten minute drive! When there’s great company along the journey, the minutes just melt away! In the evening we went to Rhumba and Raptors house for a get-together. It was great to see those I haven’t seen in… ummm… less than a week? lol. Others, it was my first time meeting them – great bunch of chix and chax.
Saturday:
Went to wicky’s house around 2pm to figure out what we were going to say at the wedding reception. We had to kill time and basically entertain the crowd as the real MC’s for the night got ready. We had to be there for 5:30pm. So think about how much time we had between coming up with a routine, getting ready, and leaving for Brampton! Exactly… not much! Even though we didn’t get a chance to formally put anything down on paper, we had a riot doing our bit in the evening! We had a lot of interaction and played off of each other. Turned out really great! The rest of the night: bhangra fusion!
Sunday:
Very relaxing, went to the mandir. Nuff said.

There was a BUNCH of detail I had to leave out… but that I cannot mention (tsk tsk!) hahaha.

Crazy Busy
Feels like it's been weeks since I've last "blogged"! A lot of new ideas and implementations will commence in six weeks time. At which, I want to welcome everybody to my world, create new business relations, and stretch my dreams beyond the horizon! Think about it... 2 years down the road, you can go back and read what you did on.. say Jan 26th (random date) and reminisce!! "Its worth the drive to Acton!" Don't ask. lol.

Jasmine's third day on the job! She's slowly but surely BFMing (BFMing = the art of wooing) all her colleagues. I mean, who can resist such a sweet and innocent act? Just kidding, the company she's working for is damn lucky to have her... and she's not that bad either ;) I'd want her to work WITH me (not for me.. lol) but she doesn't accept banana's as valid tender. Too bad for me! I won it off of eBay. 84 episodes in total. I'm not too thrilled. The audio sounds like two wires were shorting out during the recording, and the video looks like they had yet to invent the reel! (ok, its not that bad, but when they say its going to be Digital Sound and Full Screen quality, you'd expect better!) I've sent an email out to the person who sold me the set, in hopes to exchange or return the set. Although it was a good price that I had got them for, not to mention I'd have the entire collection! Woken up with brilliant sun rays penetrating the blackness under my eyelids, it took me a few minutes to adjust to the contrast and my surroundings. I took a few moments to recap what had happened the night before. Was I really dancing bhangra to all hip hop songs? Did I really take off my belt thinking I was Michael Jackson? All I knew is that I was dancing in my kaleidoscope-like world. Loving every moment of it! Thank you Jasmine for everything!! You made the week incredible! You rock!
I was very humbled to see all the faces – old and new alike. It is said “a man who is rich in friendship is never poor” I feel like the wealthiest person alive! Thanks to everyone that took the time out of their Friday night to get me in a drunken stooper =)
So it was said. I walked upstairs from my basement bedroom towards the kitchen. My stomach was growling. As I made my way around the counter to grab my mug of tea, the elders had their radars on, and I was flagged down. They sat me down at the kitchen table. My mom had ‘that’ look I was talking about in the previous blog. “How much did you drink?” They asked simultaneously.
I couldn’t help but laugh out loud, even though they had this ‘we mean business’ look on their faces. I told them to take a good look at me. Look at my face. “Does it look like I’m hung over? No. Does it look like I had a horrible night? No. So you can rest assured that your 25 year old son can take care himself.” I replied with all smiles.
They worry way too much. What are they going to do when my sister moves out on her own when she starts Teachers College (Congratulations Vrinda!! My sister got into all her chosen schools that she had applied to. See you in London with Po-tax!) Point being, parents have to give their offspring the chance to fall and get up again.
“Life is the lesson of falling down seven times and getting up eight times” – The Alchemist, Paul Coelho. (I know its something like that, but I’ll have to verify that)
How else are we to know what it is to succeed?
In other news, enkay.ca has a new timeline. May 17th should be its launch date. I’ll keep you updated.
Gotta Go – duty calls.

Help Yourself

The elders had learned that I had sinned and they wanted me to repent. They wanted me to say that I was sorry for getting drunk. I desperately wanted to tell them what they wanted to hear but it would have been a lie. And I no longer wanted to live a lie. So I looked at them solemnly and said, “I am sorry for what you will have to do, but I am not sorry for what I have done.”
There was nothing more to be said. The heavy silence that fell between them and me signaled that everyone knew what my pronouncement meant. I would be ex-communicated, my parents (the ones who are supposed to love you unconditionally) would disown me, and my friends – who I will see tonight – would be there to support me.
In the moment that I uttered those life-altering words, “I am sorry for what you will have to do, but I am not sorry for what I have done,” I knew that I would rather live my life alone (perhaps move out on my own) than live the life that others wanted me to. For many people in my community, that is the case. They do everything that is deemed to dub you a ‘good boy’ or ‘good girl’. Little do the guardians know, the good boy/girl charade ends as soon as they’ve left the parameters of elders’ sight. For me, however, being able to look myself in the face each day with respect and dignity finally became more important than having the approval of other auntie’s and uncles – I was 17.
Tonight I’m probably going to knock back a few rounds. I know the look my mother will have on her face the morning after. As long as I’m not lying to her, that’s all that matters.
Besides, I am no longer 17.
To a parent, a child will always be a child. She says that one day I’ll know what it will feel like. I know she’s right.
Till tomorrow morning for the continuation of this blog. We’ll see how the evening pans out… till the next episode.

Insurance Break!
March 30th, 2004. What her parents must be going through. Especially since they were planning on throwing a birthday party for her, in hopes to bring media attention to the case again. Media attention they did get. Finding Cecilia well, they did not. They are having a solemn celebration of her short but cheerful life. I would never know how it would feel to loose an only daughter. I can say this much: that life is too short and too precious. I know there is a lesson to learn from all this. Actually there are many lessons to be learnt. But right now, I just want to wish Cecilia Zhang’s soul peace and happiness. Happy Birthday Cecilia Zhang.

On a different note it’s also the TTC’s 50th birthday, so happy birthday Rocket!

Well, so far so good! The birthday had started last night when I got home around 11.30pm to find my room decorated with balloons and banners (thanks to Jasmine and Nuts),all the way through, with phone calls and text messages till 2.30am. To wake up to more phone calls, text messages, msn messages and my dad singing at the top of his lungs! Hahaha.. You had to be there. I finally got upstairs for brekky, to find a breakfast cake ready for me! Just want to thank EVERYONE for the wonderful wishes and taking the time to express a birthday gesture. You guys rock!! The best part about turning the big 2-5 is the drop in insurance rates!! Although my primary master hard drive is no longer accessible, I am running off of my primary slave drive. The first time my computer ate itself I lost all my data from highschool through university! I was super upset then. Now that I lost everything again, its not that big of a deal, except for the 25,000 songs I had in one drive (approx 14Gigs). That's the sad part. For those of you who download music know how frustrating it is to download a "perfect" copy of a song off of kazaa. Usually I end up downloading 5 versions of the same song, to find one version that doesn't have any distortions in it. Its a lot of time invested!! I'll find a way to get them back!

Last night we went out for BFM's(HOLY CRAP!! The link is a BFM link!!) birthday to BriX. Again, another great time was shared amongst friends new and old. The veggie dishes are pretty good! Jasmine and I both had the Rigatoni... amazing sauce on the pasta. So my second visit at BriX and I have to admit, there are A LOT of older women that come to pick up young pups! I mean, even the most retardedest of dancers get picked up by a relatively attractive older woman, only to find out that she picked up a young drunk-stalker-dude that wont let her dance with anyone else as he moonwalks a barrier so she can't get by! He made for great entertainment value. Not to mention all the old (yet tiny) chinese dancers! They really know how to "mash-potato"!? Back to the drunk-stalker-dude... He tried to "battle" with me - breakdance. All BFM's doing! If she wasn't giving him dashing smiles, he wouldn't have come up to her to say "hi", and I wouldn't have had to be the "go between" to save her from Johnny Walker breath... hahahah! NO worries!! It was fun watching him try!

Watching the band (A is A) play was awesome! I actually talked to the guitar dude (Mark) and got his number... not for anything other guitar lessons... too bad, eh!? (stupid goodlooking he was!) KIDDING!! Can't wait to rock like them one day! Mint-a-maniac better get on with his drum-dem-tings.

Being that its Sunday, it's a day of thanks. (for me anyway) Off to the mandir I go!
Cheers all, hope you had a great weekend too.
PS. I’m an animal” seemed to be the slogan of the weekend considering all the partying that took place all across Southern Ontario on Friday and Saturday nights. Even the “old school” folks had their own mini-western-after party at DaBlondeHairBandits. Its great having everyone in one room reaching a higher state of consciousness together (except for those that were DD) Slurring words, dancing all jello-like, and best friends ripping on each other – what a perfect state to be in! Where’s my camera when I need it!! That was all Saturday night after the drive back from London, Ontario. Lets rewind back to Friday night!
March 19th, 2004 – 10:05pm; Cineplex Odeon Grande @ Sheppard : EUROTRIP. Jasmine and I saw this movie with little expectations. All I knew that it was somewhat of “my kind of movie” whatever that meant. I was cracking up just at the opening credits!! “they” were right!! It IS my kind of movie!! Not because it was some soft-porn (I see all the guys lining up right now..) but because they had some of life’s truths that we all live up to. For example, the main character, Scottie, always gets super trashed, and wakes up the next morning and vows never to drink again – only to get super smashed that very night! Living life unpredictably – they just took off on an adventure, with a really dumb outcome, but I guess it was worth it for them to trek all over Europe to find a girl named Mike. For us, its hard to do the ‘get up and go on a trip and leave everything hanging’ considering all the responsibility and commitments we have to our work, family, and _________. (you pick the third category.. :P)
I want to go backpacking in Europe. Whose with me?! We need this! NOW! Ok fine… we’ll actually make an itinerary and start from there. So much for unpredictability.
Ok… back to work! I have a story to tell later on!
Peash.
PS. The new generation of young blood has taken over transmission of bringing sheer entertainment value to the stage - and entertainment it was! I was completely blown away with St. Georges' props and costume design. Their transitions were also well thought out! I must say, the younger generations are bringing schools that weren't categorized as "competition" to the top contender bracket! Can't wait to see this act again on DVD! (the camera men were having difficulty, hope it comes out well)
Needless to say, University of Waterloo always puts a SHOW for the audience to remember! Year after year, those that are part of the U-Dub fraternity, have always been a step ahead of the game putting forth amazing creativity, excellent dance numbers, and uncontested spirit! They truly deserved to win. Although St. George had a great visual dance and costumes, they still, in my books, did not compare to U-Dub. The entire story of a murder-mystery set up was phenomenal! Everytime U-Dub puts a "story" together, the point really comes across! Unlike University of Ottawa and their Nutcracker theme? I think that's what they were trying to do?!
Well that's all folks.. gotta get back to work, but on the whole... another great weekend!
Jasmine - thanks for everything this weekend! Two on the left knee region, one on the right. Mottled blue-red, indicating how freshly acquired they were. Painful. Wonderfully painful, as I ran my 19-year-old fingers over them in admiration. Wonderfully, historically painful. The last time I had seen any like these was easily 10 years ago. Then, courtesy of my bmx bicycle, and now, of exaggerating dance routines – no effort spared. Badges of honour.
They were scars earned (and well earned, I might add) in pursuit of that wonderful university tradition, The Western Culture Show practiced with no knee pads, or tensor bandages. Hours upon hours of dancing, yelling, and fooling around. Intense dance rehearsed not inside some stuffy dance studio, but dance performed like God meant it to be. In The Meeting Place, no stage, with friends, at UTSC!
The phone call came early yesterday morning; chaa-full and foggy headed (since Jasmine keeps me up all night.. hahah – joke!) I found the energy to answer. Batak, my twentysomething jedi in training was on the line. “Just come and check out our dance… we need all the help we can get!” I hadn’t danced in The Meeting Place for what feels like forever. Anyhow, I made it last night to catch a glimpse of the phenomenon known as ‘I hate everyone I dance with and I’m hungry’ week. All the dancers were very excited, but very tired. I applaud their dedication. The best compliment I’ve heard last night: “We need someone like Elesh to yell at everyone!” hahaha… I guess you need to have someone being the guard dog of the group. The dynamic of the dance itself is really great. Fresh new ideas, with some recycled moves from the past. A great fusion.
I wish them all the best on Saturday. No doubt I’ll be there with my video camera storing the memories for a lifetime!
GO UTSC!! Yet, like most of us in this country, our bloodlines can be traced back to somewhere else. So when a “business” seminar rolls around, I am struck by my own guju-sense (almost like spidey-sense… but for smelling scams or bargains) - about how long it’s been, and continues to be, a large part of my life. Moving away from sounding like those “heritage” commercials, I wanted to ask all of you a question: How confident are you to purchase a good or service off of the internet? Not sure about the rest of you, but I am an eBay person. I have been for a while. At first I was apprehensive at giving my credit card number away to a “secure” payment infrastructure. To my pleasant surprise, their [eBay and other e-businesses] methodology of “securing” payment is far superior to any other system. (I.e. Order-by-phone) Having said that, if you ever wanted to jump in the waters and ride the wave of online shopping, feel free to ask me any questions that you may have – and believe me, you will have questions.. lol. So what exactly prompted this preamble? One word: Quixtar. I know what you’re thinking, that it’s a quick money making scheme – and the best part – it’s a pyramid set up (where those at the top make some coin, and those at the bottom end up getting screwed.) The way Quixtar works is as follows: The more you buy off of their Quixtar website, (they sell day-to-day household products) the more money you save, and the more money you make. Interested? They try to sell you on the model of a franchise. Where the franchisor owns a big business, and the franchisee, owns a small business. Their entire presentation was to show you how to become a ‘big business’ owner. Instead of being the franchisee, be the franchisor. They tell you how to go about becoming the franchisee. Everything makes sense. However, the system is good ONLY if you have full participation; in the sense that all those underneath you (those that have become ‘business owners’ – registered with Quixtar – under your referral) continue to buy products off of the Quixtar website. In theory it’s great. Even if you buy items for your own home, you end up making about $7.50 (since you’re generating sales) and approximately $75.00 in savings from buying wholesale. (Figure based on $250.00 monthly purchase on items you’re going to use anyway.) Ok, so what’s the catch? What does Quixtar get out of it? This is my theory. For any business you need capital to get started. Their initial ‘capital’ that you must invest is $325.00. Not a lot of money to be your own boss, huh? Sounds pretty good if you ask me. I’d say out of every 10 persons they register, 1 becomes successful in making residual income from this system. The other 9 persons are just out $325.00 which goes to Quixtar. On top of which I’m sure Quixtar has margins set up with the manufacturers and advertisers. In all honesty, this business is not for everyone. (Although there were many many Indians at the seminar last night – guju I might add!) You need to have a consistent flow of traffic pushing through their website and making a minimal monthly sale in order for you to make money. Now here’s the best part. I’ve found a loop hole! Ok, not entirely, but we’ll see how this pans out. According to the presentation, those that are Quixtar members save approximately 30 percent from retail prices buying online. Secondly, they have a bonus system where the more sales you generate, the more percentage you get to keep. Here is my loop hole: Since I already have an established wholesale/distribution company, why not use Quixtar as a source for items that I can re-sell? After all, that’s what we (En Kay Industrial Supplies Inc) do anyway! Buy low and sell high! So now I must to conduct some market research with respect to items I think I can carry. Not only will I be my own pyramid, I can sign up my father, and mother as independent ‘business owners’ and triple the money that the system says I can make!  Time to get on this.
I’ll keep you posted.
“money money money……… money!!!” I should be on The Apprentice – lol!

Do You Remember The Time...

A great Sunday morning! I was supposed to wake up at 10am this morning to help my uncle move a few items from his old house to his new house. Although I went to bed at 1am, I made a conscience effort NOT to set my alarm – I really didn’t wanna get up THAT early on a Sunday! Wouldn’t you know it; I was woken up by the sun. How you ask? Well, my bedroom is in my basement. Very rarely does the sun shine its rays straight through my window, especially on to my pillow where my head lay, and my head facing the window!! And precisely at 9:51am those damn rays were piercing the darkness beneath my closed eye lids. Come to think of it, I’m never home at that time of day; no wonder I never realized it before! Ah well, at least I’m up now!

So here’s the plan. I need to find a proper cordless phone! All the ones my parents buy are super cheap and inferior quality. Why do they do such things?? That just makes the total cost of having a cordless phone that much more expensive!! They break so easily and now I must go look for decent phones.

A new store has opened up in malls in Canada recently, called H&M. I hear they have a great selection of decent looking clothes at seep (cheap in Tamil conversion) prices! Speaking of seep prices, I FINALLY found a winter jacket still out on the rack at a store!! I found it at the Club Monaco outlet. It was well marked down from 170.00 to 40 bucks!! Can’t go wrong with that! Although I look like the Stay Puffed Marshmallow man – beggars can’t be choosers! (its silver… nice lookin)

Yesterday we had our ‘samaj’ (community) gathering at a community centre in R-Hill. Many people showed up… but I’ve realized something – I’ve made this conclusion a long time ago, but never told anyone since its really dumb, but here it is: two of my cousins (Kayat and RBX) and I, are born in a generation gap. What I mean by that is our parents are all in one generation (same age group), their kids were born from early to mid seventies (the older group that are all pretty much married with kids) and another set of kids born mid to late eighties (the youth that are now growing up entering or in their second year of university.) In between all that, are those THREE kids born in the late seventies. You can’t really go and mingle with the married couples with kids… nothing much to talk about besides Gerber baby food and which type of Huggies the kid uses.
We can go talk to those in university, but they have their own entire group of family mixed with others in the same age group that are club-hop crazy, and rat-jam extremist. (just kidding, you guys are a great bunch... but still feel a detachement from 'your' world) Really?? I’m done with that faze too! The three of us go and just make the best of the situation, we go harass the really young kids and make them have bhangra competitions! (hahaha… until their parents find out and banish them from the competition for ever!! – baby rishi!? LOL) Not to say that we can’t make conversation with anyone we meet… I don’t think we’re interested to make small talk with people we generally find closed and proud. But they still make for a great crowd to practice my comedy routine!! Hahaha….

Tonight: Let’s see what I learn this week from the Great Man – Roopanougadas!

TGIF!

Lately I’ve been calling into 102.1 the edge pretending to be Frank the video store guy’s brother. Call me if you wanna hear one…lol) Anyway, the point is, they never air my comments… BASSHOLES!

Last night four of us (Ding, Roper, Jasmine, and I) spent the evening at the singh’n’ting’s residence. We ordered pizza and watch Just Married. Almost like our first double date, but instead of going out anywhere, we stayed indoors. The movie was actually pretty good, except for the special feature selection on the DVD. Jasmine’s Rex In The City person was interviewing the celebs.. damn annoying! I couldn’t help but notice so many small parallels that the movie had with my life. Ask Jasmine, she and I were nudging each other through the movie… “its funny ‘cause its true!!” hahaha
Its said that 25% of the heaviest snow falls in March. I thought that we’d be finished with the snow. Outside its -4C and its snowing hard. So much for spring around the corner.

On another springtime note, a few guys at the gym and I are planning to go bike shopping near the end of March. For those of you who are interested in picking up a bike, let me know so we can all go together and be let me be the best Guju I can be! Did I miss out on living the “real campus life”? The answer is – yes. Living at home is great. You have home cooked meals; you have your own bed, means to a vehicle, cash on demand, and your local family and friends around the corner. Seems all great right? It is I guess. But it doesn’t compare to living away on campus. I’m not even talking about living on campus at U of T Scarborough, cause you might as well live at home. I’m talking about another city, another place – where nobody knows your name. I was thinking about how many people that I know now, have gone away for university. The stories that they have to share.. and the bonds that they have made… what do you even compare a “floor crawl” to? (an activity where those on residence go from room-to-room on a given floor and drink their faces off until they pass out on the floor) You just can’t. Imagine being in a relationship with someone who lives on the floor beneath you! How sweet would that be?? You might as well live in common-law! I just WISH I had that chance. Just to live the “life”. Waking up with friends, crashing with friends, having fun with friends, no worries, no cares!! Pure responsibility. My cousin is one of the lucky ones… Po-Tax… aka Jizm. He’s up at Western. He always has a story to share!! Lucky Basshole! (bastard remixed with asshole.. lol!) But I really can’t complain all that much. Being in the locality has let me live with the growing times of my city, my family, and my friends (high school and uni.) On top of which the parental figures wanted me to stay local (there was a catch involved… the TA – which didn’t come till 5 years after!!) But its here now!! SWEET!!
But I have no regrets. I have been given many opportunities by living local… who knows what kind of influences I would’ve had otherwise!! TTTIIIINNNGGSSS??? For sure!! hahaha

"Celebration.. Lets all Celebrate and have a good time.."

Each week that passes by, life seems to get better and better. This weekend was amazing!! Sat. night went out for Jasmine’s birthday at a joint called The Marlowe. Many folks showed up – who were all smiles! Why you ask?? I got a hold of Jasmine’s digital camera, and yes – I was trigger happy! I took over a hundred shots capturing virtually every moment!! Although everyone started cursing me after all they could see were bright flashes in their face ever five seconds… I’m sure they’re glad now since they can view the night’s events on a play by play basis! LOL! I got a chance to delve deeper into Jasmine’s “whole new world”… I met a few of her good friends from Uni. All different colourful characters with different backgrounds, but all in all, amazing people to be around. The venue was decent, just one complaint though.. the music was too damn loud! I couldn’t even hear the person next to me screaming in my ear!! Ah well.. overall amazing night!
Sunday… I learned something very important. The day before (Saturday) it was Holi. The Indian(Hindu) festival where we celebrate with sprinkling one another with colour powder or water… But the reason we celebrate this auspicious day, I had learned at the mandir on Sunday: It’s the story of Prahlad Maharaja. His father was a very powerful demon. So powerful that many of the demi-gods also feared his wrath – his name was Hiranyakashipu. He was so fearful that his own wife, while she was pregnant, was kidnapped by Naradmoni, to save her and her to-be-born son from the evil sinner. Naradmoni had explained why she was kidnapped, and through his discourse of true knowledge and enlightened sermons, the child in the womb, also was blessed with the teachings of a pure devotee. As you know, when a child is in the fetus, s/he has no other means of escape. S/he is stuck inside the womb, attached to the umbilical cord with no choice but to accept what is to come. Prahalad was born as a pure devotee, with no other tainted thoughts to soil him. Prahalad and his mother were returned to Hiranyakashipu after the birth of the child...where Prahalad grew through his toddler years and into his youth. He went to school and would glorify the name of the Lord – Krishna. His father had heard of his son’s social misbehavior and was infuriated with the notion that his own son would put Krishna’s name above his own – above the demon that many demi-gods feared!! Hiranyakashipu was soo outraged, that the only thing he could think of was to kill Prahlad. He summoned his guards to take Prahalad and leave him in the forest – Krishna saved him. He told the guards to tie a rock to his back and throw him off a cliff into the ocean – Krishna saved him. Holika, Hiranyakashipu’s sister came and told him, that she would take Prahlad and step into a pit of fire (for Holika had a benediction from the demi-gods stating that she could never be burned by fire) and so she took Prahlad and stepped into the fire – Krishna, being the Supreme, could over ride any demi-god benediction for the sake of his pure devotee, and saved Prahalad, and Holika burned to death. – At this juncture, I just wanted to point out the word Holi, is derrived from the demon’s sister name: Holika. We’re not celebrating the death of Holika, nor a holiday, or the throwing of colours, but rather this: That No Matter What The Circumstance, Krishna Will Always Save His Pure Devotee Period! We are celebrating the promise of the Lord to his pure devotee. –
The story continues: Hiranyakashipu realized that he must kill his son himself. (Hiranyakashipu also has a benediction such that: He cannot be killed in the day or night, in the air or on the ground, by an arrow, spell, animal, gun – nothing! He cannot be killed.) So he takes out his sword and is THISCLOSE from swinging his sharp blade – But you know what happens next – Krishna appears from a pillar in the form of Narsinghmadev! He appears as a half man – half lion being, appears at dusk (not day or night) and swiftly grabs Hiranyakashipu, puts him in his lap and tears out his guts with his huge sharp claws!!!(Not Animal, Nor Human, No Weapon)
The moral of the story? Have faith in God. No matter what happens, he HAS to save you.

Have a good one folks.

PS. Happy Birthday to Veeraj and Afsheen (March 6th, 2004)and Basil (March 8, 2004)

To Comede or Not To Comede… That is the Question!

So here’s the deal: There is this New Reality TV show going to start up in the summer time. It’s an “all-talent” type of American Idol show. Where they [talented persons] audition in front of a panel of judges. They have the following categories to audition under: Models, Actors, Musicians, Dancers, Singers, DJ’s, and Comedians. IF (not saying that I am.. lol) I were to potentially audition in this show I’d probably audition under the Comedian category! Hahaha, but I have to make up a solid routine first! I'm gonna start by taking a pad of paper and a pen where ever I go like Jerry Seinfield! Dunno about myself, but auditions in Toronto are at the end of May… let me know if anyone is interested. Speaking of comedy, last night, Cheeoto’s and I went to Markville, yet again, to run a few missions. In every store that we went to, we harassed the sales lady! The most harassed store had to have been The Body Shop (don’t ask me why we were in there, we just were!) The key is to speak in an Indian accent and bargain down EVERY item!! Usually the sales person will budge (surprisingly) but this one tight-bum lady wouldn’t even budge ONE DOLLAR!! I even tried to make her feel sorry for me by telling her I had a family of 12 little elesh’s running around – but it didn’t phase her. LOL. I wish I had a video camera… you just had to be there!

Job Posting =)

Ok.. I’m also looking for an assistant. Here is the job description: You will be my videographer (sp?) as well as my microphone person. This person should not be embarrassed easily, nor should they be afraid to cross the boundaries of society (ie. Guys going into the Girls bathroom – just kidding!!) The pay is nothing, but the memories will be well worth it! You will be working with me, 1 day a week (probably the weekend days) and we will be exploring various malls (our name will be the Mall Bandits… until I think of a better name!) This person will have to wear a specific uniform which I will pick out myself..lol. We will be handing out “Retailer of the Month” awards.. It’ll be great! Comment to apply!

Jasmine – Hope you had the best birthday!! Why didn’t you bring your digi cam?? Hmmm?? LOL.
And Happy Birthday to Priya Rathod and Afsheen!!
That is all.

Oh-a-hunting we will go...

That’s what I’m talking about! Besides… we’re all guys and there’s no one to impress!! Which reminds me… there was this Tamil stallion in the gym today. He wore a tank top, and no deodorant – nuff said. (the reaction of those around him was priceless… doesn’t he smell his own B.O?) So Ding forfeited his invitation to Markville to do “laundry” or so he says. I went straight to BestBuy – My name is Elesh, and I’m a Bestbuy-o-holic. In Buffalo is where Mint-a-maniac and Lion-o found me. Everywhere we went, we made sure we caused trouble for the sales personnel.. .especially mint-a-maniac with his ways on manipulating the product to please the sales LADY and the potential buyer! BLOODY PHOOL! Kidding mint-a-maniac.. I need your supreme input. Lion-O had lots of fun at the Body Shop trying on various hand creams… especially those that make your hands “green and supple” LOL
Finally after mint-a-maniac lost his bet (the bet was that he claimed there was a MEXX in the mall, and I said there wasn’t – I cant disclose the terms.. but it was worth it.. especially when I knew I was going to win!!) we went to our last stop for TIINGS, and then hit the road to reconvene at Lees Wok. Ding also met us there. So nice of him to grace us with his omnipotentancy. We had a grand dinner… sweet and sour chicken rocks!! (Pineapple is great in EVERY meal!! Lol)

Ok.. gotta go do some Jasmine propaganda.. Tomorrow is someone’s birth-a-day!!!
Quarter-century old!! Dayum – DOSI MA! Hahah..kidding.
Peace out-side.

Ode To Weekends!

Check out the weather today (10 degrees!!) Its one of those days where I wish I could take out my “sleeping beauty” and just open the throttle and tear the road in half!! To be honest, for the first time since November 23rd, I finally took it out today!!! Jasmine came over to say hi..(soo nice of her!!) and the combination of three gorgeous factors (the weather, my sleeping beauty, and Jasmine).. I had no choice but to take off the six chaadars (bedsheets.. yes, I’m too cheap to buy an actual car cover :P) and slowly back KITT outta the garage and just bask in all its glory!! I’m soo damn in love with this car… so bad!! Hahaha… anyway, Jasmine hopped in (and I also put in my new PONTIAC seatbelt strap covers.. they look sweet!) and we went for a quick drive around the block… and one desi kid ran over to his mom as I approached his house.. I could read his lips..
“Mom!!! Is that Batman??”
”No betai, that’s just a young handsome Indian boy with a beautiful Indian princess next to him…”
“But is he Batman?!”
“SAALA!!! OK OK!! ITS BATMAN!!”
So it’s a bit exaggerated… but it was very close to it! LOL.

On Friday, we went to the SAA formal. Its always fun to dress up and go out somewhere looking all PimPa-ish. As Ding would say.. PIMPA! Ding, Jasmine, Bindeshwar, Tinkly, The God Father, Parmar, Po-tax, and Cobra The Second… were all looking sharp. We had a decent time, and then before we knew it, the night was over. It was funn watching Parmar and Po-tax talk their smack ie. HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY!!?!? LOL!!

Saturday (yesterday) I bought a digi cam (Canon SD100) for a bargained-down price! Being the guju that I am, I had to bargain for a lower price (it helps when you can read information off the Futureshop and Bestbuy POS systems!) So the manager knocked off about $60 bucks in total…(camera, 256mb card) Then… yes.. as usual… went BACK to the humhum mall. Picked up some more DVD’s : LXG, The Medallion, Hollywood Homicide, Bulletproof Monk, Rumble In The Bronx, and Pirates of the Caribbean! I love getting these bootlegs!! They’re soo clear (except for that one that mint-a-maniac got.. lol)
We Also went out for RHUMBA's birthday at a Thai Cusine restaurant.. lately I've been sampling a LOT of Thai food (damn that ginger!)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROMA!! (February 28th)

Ok… I have to hit Home Depot to find a few TIIIIIIIIINGS.. .and then off to the mandir.
Latah.

Indie Banned!

Mint-a-maniac and I want to start our own two-man band… Just like The White Stripes (but we’re not brother-sister…unless he goes “cheerdi” styles! lol) The name for our band: INDIE BANNED. No matter how you interpret it, it makes sense. I wont go over all the variations, but you get the point. Its time to go guitar shopping… I’ll be playing acoustic, while mint-a-maniac jams away on the drums. But here’s what separates us from any normal mainstream band: We morph the drum into a dhol, and the guitar into a thumbi (sp?) Now that’s the tricky part… firstly, we’ll be singing in Punjabi and Engrazi. Secondly to sing without throwing any Punjabi words while singing Engrazi! (even if it’s a small thing like “hoi”) We’ll have to perform the two well, before we fuse the two together and sing punjgrazi. Finally, to please the masses, we’ll also throw in some classic Hindi Lowe songs to set the moods!! Hahaha… all the Mohabbatein classics! (for obvious reasons!!) Mint-a-maniacs fav. tune: “oh baby… don’t break my heart – I will, I will”! LOL!!! Sorry mint-a-maniac… its been stuck in my head all morning! And in all fairness, my fav. tune from way back when used to be: “tum paasaye, tum muskuriye, tum ye na jaaneka sapnae dekhaiyain…” (KKHH)
Big Plans! Lets see how well we do. I’m hoping, even if we don’t sing on a stage at BriX, that we set up in the subway station, and just jam for coins – Jasmine always says “Location Location Location!”

Ok.. I’ll update the Indie Banned situation in due time. In the meantime, I must go read the paper and watch Shrek 2 trailors! Peace out-side.

Bond...James Bond?

You gotta admit, back in the day Columbo was the man! Even though he looked like he had down syndrome, he could solve a mystery within 1 hour!! His strategy was simple. Press the suspects from different angles until they slip or crack… I mean, how much can one person take from a man who looks like he doesn’t shower, who probably competes with humhums in the negative breath scale, and is darn right annoying? I have to apply this formula to business. Not to say that I don’t keep check of my personal hygiene – I do! But in terms of getting his “man” – Columbo never failed. (and in one hour too!) So here’s my angle: Use Columbo methodology not to make the sale, but in order to collect from accounts. Situation: Fact is that its not just one industry that’s facing the problem of delinquent accounts, but it’s the vast majority of small businesses in the GTA (and probably stemming out to the suburbs) have problems collecting in January – March. Post Christmas sales drop considerably, and its hard to make payments to your vendors, especially if the inventory (and I don’t mean stoggs..lol) doesn’t turn over. POA (plan of action): I’m going to be Columbo. I’m going to go to my clients and flash my brilliant smile (yeah right, who are we kidding… lol) and give them “friendly reminders” of their outstanding balance. With my pleasantries I aim to collect from my accounts, and to foster a bond between buyer and seller. Lately, that’s all I can think of. Bonds.
Take P.K (Tayalan Mutikakrishnan – the tamil that works in my warehouse aka. Poonday Keats)for example: When he started working with us, he wasn’t to fond of anyone, nor did he seem to enjoy his work. I felt the need within myself to get to know P.K. on a more personal level (hell, I already knew some bad words in tamil, figured that was a great place to start! LOL) Breaking the ice was easy! Jokes after jokes… and here we are today. We have an understanding between us, that its not just a boss-employee situation, its more than that… its one of friend and friend. A happy worker is a busy worker! You should see the way he cleans up the entire warehouse and runs to show me! Usually, warehouse workers have a high turn-over rate… but ever since PK and I became friends, he’s never thought about leaving - he’s been here for over a year! And it couldn’t be better!
Always pays to formulate a bond... and remember - a smile goes a long way.

Icy Weekend

Another amazing weekend in the making!! Friday night we went out for duper’s birthday at this restaurant/lounge called BriX. They had a live band playing there… and it was my first time jamming to a live band!! Usually I’ll admire the talent from my own space at a table… but dancing in front of the band brings the talent right infront of your face! Many members of the fellowship had shown up to this auspicious occasion. Perhaps the most significant part of that evening was “the talk” I had with The God Father. It certainly broke the ice for Jasmine and I… and now I feel MUCH better about the entire situation. I leave it all in His (not the God Father...lol) hands from here on in... (and Jasmine in mine! Hahaha)

We, Jasmine and I, went to the auto show today. Wasn’t all that great. It was like going to a glorified car dealership… the only difference was that the demo’s had all their knobs ripped off from the interior. But one thing remained the same… the amount of humhums sitting inside EACH vehicle and taking pictures from all angles!! After a humhum goes into a car… you have to wait AT LEAST 10 minutes for their bad breath to be aired out… it STINKS! (Humhums should always carry tictacs or something with them! LOL.)
In the MTCC there wasn’t much to see… but the Skydome had many different booths set up to purchase car products from. I picked up those seat belt padding straps that say Pontiac on them!! Cant wait to put them on!

Anyway, needless to say, the walking at the show destroyed Jasmine, not me, and decided to make the trek back on the subway; back home.

We also went to a club tonight… called Tangerine. Damn crowded… but great mewzik!
I’m dead tired… and Jasmine is waiting for me… so I’m audi… and I don’t mean the car! lol

"Dreams can come true..."

Who would've thought I'd have so much in common with a third generation canadian, who is 52 year old, from Brantford: Ian McDonald-wala (he learned where my last name originated from.. lol) The game in Buffalo was awesome! Actually, the entire night was amazing! But more than that, was to have a man of great stature and poise, someone whom, for the first time, I met face-to-face earlier that morning, sit down and open up his life story with me. I mean, he's my father' age, yet I felt as though he was just a friend of mine who happened to have a lot of gray hair! We talked about EVERYTHING from business, family life, his kids, his love of keeping fit, his friends, his company, etc etc. I now finally realize why Suppliers take out their Buyers... to create a solid foundation of trust. Before I just figured it was a way to talk business and do "favours" to keep the other party happy... but after a night like this, I now realize that it's far from just the impersonal "by association" friend to find the business opportunity, but rather to form solid trusting relationships, that will in turn lead to big business on its own. (Still trying to prove my thesis :P) Crossing the border was too funny! An old white man, and a young brown guy, crossing over in a brand new black Lincoln LS with dark tints and shiny chromies looked too suspicious. Basically they checked the entire car, and happened to find nothing but samples of paper cups. Finally the customs agent, after searching the vehicle, asks "what is your relationship?" And Ian was about to blurt out "We're LOVERS!!" You had to be there... hahaha. Anyway, by the end of the night, I was feeling really great about the entire experience and with more of these "bond"sessions with other suppliers too, I hope to flourish in the realm of business.

On a different note, Skittles aka Cheetos had a rather interesting dream the night before. He called me up during the day yesterday to tell me he woke up smiling with his mom right in his face asking "what did you dream about that you laugh so?" (<--indian accent) Cheetos replies "EllisDon makes me laugh... hahahah" So he goes on to tell me: I had a dream that every single person that you ever met in your life, and every single person that I have met in my life... all in Cancun! But it gets better than that. We're all staying at the same hotel... Oasis Cancun. But the reason we're all in Cancun is to see you perform. You were a stand up comic, and the management at Oasis Cancun built a special HUGE hut for you to do your routine. So we all meet up in this monster size hut, and two guys go up before you. They were so buckwass!! I kept asking you, before you went on stage, what are you gonna say? What are you gonna do? And you kept replying "I dunno?... hahahah" So you finally get on stage, and start picking on people soo bad I was about to crap in my pants!!" You think they're hidden meanings in dreams? Funny thing is, for the longest time I've always wanted to be an entertainer... who knows what the future holds!!

I have never been soo happy as I am with Jasmine!! She just makes me smile all day long, and I can't stop!! She's like my pillow... I always fall asleep on her at night. I can't stay up on the phone for the life of me!! I suck!! (check it out if you’ve never heard him before!) My dad came back from India yesterday… felt really good to have him back. The house feels alive again. Even though he stresses me out from time to time… I’ve realized that I need that stress; otherwise my domestic life is somewhat dull.

I’m listening to one of my favourite songs right now: I Miss You, by Blink 182. (a must download!)

I went to humhum mall AGAIN today… this time with mint-a-maniac. We had a bonding session today. Sometimes I feel that I’m not always there for my friends, but I honestly want to make that effort to see them. Work, gym, family, extra-curricular activites usually takes up my time… but this year, I also made a resolution to spend more time with the important people in my life other than just family. Mint-a-maniac was under the weather today… with sniffles (how bushy! LOL). No worries mint-a-maniac, it’s always a pleasure to spend time with you… even if what you have is contagious! So at the humhum mall, we came to two conclusions. 1: All Chinese people have boycotted X Box, cause NO ONE seems to carry that system, and if you ask for it, they get offended!!! So we decided to ask everyone at all the electronic vendors for X BOX… seriously, they looked at us and didn’t even bother giving an answer… but who cares, their breath STINKS! (ooltie!!... one shop was soo pungent with bad breath that we just walked in and out wishing we had a puffer to start breathing again!!!) 2: NO ONE knows what Knight Rider is!! I mean, it was the most popular tv show in the early to mid 80s, and everyone we asked was like “Knight Ridaah? Ess a CD?” dumb humhums! Hahaha… so mint-a-maniac and I went around introducing myself as a celebrity from California, and my name was David Hasselhoff!! They believed every word I uttered!!

Tomorrow I’m going to Buffalo to watch the Sabers vs. Panthers!! I’m heading down with a vendor of mine – FoodPack Inc. Should be funn!!

Another day is coming to an end… And my life is full of joy and bliss… Just wish the same for the rest of yous…

Half Gal Half Amazing... JASMINE!
Ok.. Where do I even start?! This weekend was by far the best weekend I’ve ever had!! Let’s recap shall we?? Ok! Friday after work… I had to make a delivery to rasoee (the restaurant that you come out smelling like a walking butter chicken.. lol) and then to my buddy Sam. Sam is the flower man! He knows much about flowers, and he’s one damn good flower packager too! Anyway since Saturday would’ve been the fourteenth, unfortunately the day time was consumed with having to help move my uncle’s house from scar-lem to the posh Richmond Hill, Jasmine and I decided to celebrate Valentines Day on Friday evening! We went to a restaurant called Spring RollsTheir menu was extensive with lots of “grass” dishes! The items on the menus had short-hand codes like R2D2 and 3CPO… either these waiters are Jedi Knights (which pic doesn't belong?? LOL) or the owners made them go to Spring Roll Academy! Friday night came to the sweetest ending.. Jasmine is the best!
Saturday I was up at 7.30am off to start a back breaking day of moving furniture and other bulky items… but you know what? I’d rather move bulky stuff than small little boxes and miscellaneous items... small items just frustrate me... unless of course they’re D-WE-Ds!! ;) Which reminds me!! Humhum mall, (Pacific Mall) has the BEST deal on D-WE-Ds!! They have the newest releases out on disc, although they are burned and do come with humhum subtitles.. It’s a damn good buy!! 4 movies for $20!! You can’t go wrong with that!! Ultimate guju deal! I’m gonna be there every Saturday to visit my best friend… they even have LOTR 3!! (Talk about breaking copyright laws!! They do it in a retail shop in public!! I love bootleg:) )
Saturday evening comes by, and its Bobby’s bday soirée at some place in Mississauga (fairlite?) I was the bus driver, and picked up my rambunctious children from 5 stops!! (Fundy Bay, Ambercroft, Rodick, Colonnade, and finally Forest Hill) Needless to say it took us an hour and a half to get to our destination! I was sooo happy to see everyone there!! It’s like one huge family reunion! Lately I’ve been so happy from inside out, that everything I see just seems to be the most amazing sight and place to be! Enough of me being “senty” It was Denny’s all the way for the after party… then the school bus left to depart back to the five stations… and finally I was home!!!!
Sunday: waking up at 8.30 (2 hours of lovely sleep..) woke up since we had an appointment with a feng-shui dude who came by and assessed for the flow of “chee” (energy of life) in our home. It’s very interesting how the set up ones house can affect you mentally and physically, not to mention shape your future to some degree. I have book on ‘vastu’ the Indian version of feng-shui. If anyone wants to read up on it, let me know! So I went to humhum mall again, to pick up more dwed’s.. and then met up with Jasmine =D We watch half of nemo…(that baby turtle is the best… squirt!) and then the rest of the evening was spent at the mandir… couldn’t ask for a better weekend =D
There is one last thing I wanted to say... The last couple of weeks have really opened my mind and heart to another side of me that I had lost a long time ago. Thats another story for another day, however, for those of you that can relate... there isn't a more wonderful feeling in the world than knowing of how amazing it feels to give. Giving is Living. The perks of giving: seeing the light and glow in the other persons eyes... and knowing that whatever you've done has put a smile on their face.. I wish I could describe exactly how I feel. My b/f will tell you that when we had our TALK at his bday... there was no other words to describe the feeling... you just had to be there... to that person... JASMINE... you are the bestest!!!

oohh.. Friday the thirteenth!

It’s the first Friday the 13th of the millennium.. and so far no whammy’s! It’s the day before Valentines Day. On the edge (102.1) they had an entire segment dedicated to anti-valentines day! They played the wickedest traxx to celebrate!! The anti-valentines day stories were even better!! I just don’t know how anyone could hate this day… unless you were burned badly… I offer my condolences. Anyway, since tomorrow is valentines day, I was thinking of what I was doing tomorrow… which is helping my uncle move into his new place starting @ 8am!! Dunno when we’ll finish the job, but there’s nothing like spending Valentines Day with 10 other “nuts”! One thing is for sure… one way or another, Jasmine is definitely going to be with me… even if we have to tip toe around the hot spot. Just about finished my lunch here… I’m kind of getting sick of eating tofu-turkey!! Its hard to make something for lunch when your entire house is eating ‘grass’.
Gotta go!! Ciao

LipStick Roses

Absolutely amazing! That’s all I can say about the last six days! The amount of information I have gotten about the west coast has been totally invaluable! From things that should’ve been censored on television, to finding “waldo” in every background of the pictures… trust me, you had to be there! Anyway, I’ll have to continue this tomorrow morning… so goodnight! =)

Its the next day, around 1.50pm. I am at work, and yes, I am lucky to have THIS much time! I have to mention one thing... I cannot WAIT to watch Shrek 2! I just love Donkey. I wish we could all go around talking like Donkey all day... too damn funny! Shrek is the only animated movie that has made me truely laugh... almost as funny as The Simpsons... ALMOST!

Gotts to go. My life has taken a turn into the unknown... scary.. but LOVING it!! =) I'll have to explain that one some day soon.

PS. If anyone knows the meaning of rose colours.. esp.
